EUROPE’S FLAGSHIP EVENT FOR HEALTH, SPA & LONGEVITY

From 11 to 13 May 2026, Varna, Bulgaria, will host a landmark European gathering dedicated to the future of sustainable health tourism.

HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT 2026 aims to position Europe—and Bulgaria in particular—as a leading destination for sustainable health, spa, wellbeing, and longevity tourism.

Organised by: ESPA, BUBSPA, and HTI
Hosted by: Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria and Varna Municipality

The event will bring together leading voices from across Europe and beyond. As a high-level platform, it will connect policy-makers, destinations, scientists, medical experts, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, shape policy, and drive innovation in health tourism. With its rich spa heritage, natural healing resources, and growing international profile, Bulgaria takes centre stage—positioning itself at the forefront of Europe’s evolving health and wellness landscape.

A place you simply have to experience: Varna. It is a city where Europe’s oldest gold and remarkable archaeological heritage meet the sea, thalasso traditions, thermal water, and a brand‑new public spa — all in one unified destination. Varna is also home to Bulgaria’s oldest climate health resort, a living example of how natural assets and modern wellbeing concepts can coexist and thrive. If you look north from Varna, you can see how a truly trendy health destination is being created — not by copying global concepts, but by elevating what the land already offers. This region has succeeded in transforming a classic 3‑ and 4‑star seaside area into a modern, high‑quality health destination, built on authenticity, natural remedies, and a clear vision for four‑season wellbeing. Varna is the best examples of destination development rooted in tradition, nature, and contemporary innovation. It is a place worth visiting, observing, and learning from — especially for those shaping Europe’s future in health, tourism, and sustainability.

Conference and hotel bookings as well as transfer bookings are possible via the registration form.
